Dog Bowls
What is the right size Dog Bowl?
When choosing a dog bowl for your dog does size matter? Absolutely! The bigger the dog the bigger the dog bowl should be but if the bowl is too large your dog maybe subject to too much food, more than your dog needs, resulting in a podgy pooch. How do you really know what is right for your dog? Dog bowls for food should be just the right size to hold the correct portion for your size of dog. If in doubt contact your veterinarian!
Dog bowls for water should be twice the size of food bowls simply because dogs drink lots of water in a 24 hour period especially if it is a hot climate. Dog bowls for floppy eared dogs should be deep but narrow rimmed and big enough so they can get their nose in but their ears are not dragging in their food.
